Direct-fired portable kerosene radiant torpedo heaters generate radiant heat, which warms people and objects directly instead of heating the ambient air. The air in direct-fired heaters comes in direct contact with an open flame, so there's no heat loss like indirect-fired heaters. Exhaust fumes mix in the air.
